Purkarec is a village with an important tradition swimmers. This designation is for the participants rafting.

As once floated timber and cargo on rafts to Prague, what tools were used and what was the life of swimmers, for example, you can learn just within the sine rafting, which is at the beginning of the village Purkarec. In this museum and guesthouse near The Angel (in the direction of travel for local high pier in the gap on the right) is seen even real raft.

Charles castle

Charles Hradek is the only monument of Charles IV. in South Bohemia.

Ruins hunting residence of Charles IV. since 2018 the property of Hluboka nad Vltavou, which launched rescue and restoration.

The building is located near the cycle track Purkarec (Czech Budejovice - Hluboka nad Vltavou - Purkarec) and the Vltava River (where the pier is located a stop here and cruises). You may know him also as Karlshaus or just Hradek. It stands on a wooded promontory above the left bank of the Vltava River. Huge walls, ramparts and moats represents the original mission of the castle.

The castle is freely accessible.

The prospect Baba

Baba prospect is beautiful view of the river Vltava and near Hluboka and local branch. At the very prospect leads slightly more difficult route along the red tourist trail up the hill just past one of the local branch, where until now bred animals.

Sport and relaxation area Hluboká

The largest and most comprehensive sports and recreation complex in southern Bohemia is located near the Vltava River and a bicycle trail leading from Czech Budejovice Hluboká.

An important part of the local rental which is situated at the beach volleyball courts and near the Vltava River, which is situated on a pier with mooring. The car found a small motorboat, paddleboardy, pedalboard, kayaks, scooters, road scooters or electric bikes. Equipment rentals are constantly expanding and modernizing.

Bathers will get their local sandy beach, from which access to the Vltava River through the swim pier.
